Cloud Sherpas Gets a $1 Million Boost to migate people to GoogleAps

Cloud Sherpas, a Google Apps reseller that also helps enterprises migrate to and manage the productivity suite, has raised $1 million in funding from Hallett Capital and other investors.

Cloud Sherpas also provides additional tools to make the productivity suite more useful along with the migration and transition over to Google Apps.  There are estimated over 1,800 organizations use Cloud Sherpas’ products and services.

New Internal Cloud Computing Project by INX

INX announced today its initial win for the Deluxe Digital Studios Infrastructure project.  The project will build an Internal computing cloud and virtualize the server and desktop environment to take advantage of the resulting reduction in power, cooling, and space needed inside the data center.

Mark Hilz, INX President stated, “Addressing our client’s business needs using a thorough and detailed process is core to INX’s engagement methodology. We are pleased to have been selected for this project. It’s exciting to partner with an industry leader.”

World of Warcraft in the Cloud….on the iPad?

Game Designer David Perry shows everyone the power of the iPad and World of Warcraf at the tip of your fingers.

David put up this photo of World of Warcraft login screen on his iPad recently, testing the Gaikai cloud server (similar to Onlive) over a standard Wifi connection.

“We’re really interested to see what works well with streaming and will be trying just about every genre of game, on every device possible as we explore server-side computing,” he wrote on his blog.

Pretty sweet, I know!  But what does this mean for us.  It means that the future of gaming could be on something as simple as an iPad.  I still don’t know if World of Warcraft on iPad works but we’ll see.  What does this mean for iPad cloud servers?  I don’t really know, what are your thoughts?
