We have found symetriq to be a very solid cloud platform. Availability and support have been very good. Performance is very good compared to AWS (as you would expect with the price difference).
The only slight complaint we have is that it is not easy to clone servers, it needs to be a manual process (unless the facility exists and we overlooked it?).

Only Cloud provider we have found thus far in EMEA with a meaningful partner programme. By meaningful, I mean one which offers reasonable margins (up to 25%). We found the Symetriqs team to be very helpful in terms of setting us up as a partner and training our team. We should have our white labelled portal within 10 days.
Only downside so far was one issue with support, which was not critical but a little annoying. Would recommend to anyone looking to resell cloud services.

I had a great experience with Symetriq but I don’t see how they are number 2 on this list. I haven’t had any problems so far with my VM but I haven’t really dug in to it that much as of yet.

It has become one of the better known web hosts in the industry by being themselves. Though nothing they do is completely spectacular or unbelievable, they do what they should do. That is, HostGator actually answers their phones, replies to their emails, responds to live chat requests, doesn’t rip you off, and provides quality hosting. It’s actually quite sad that most hosts can’t seem to get these things right, but it’s great for HostGator as they’ve banked on it and it’s translated into success.

I have dealt with SymetriQ over the last year or so and have found them to be very friendly and accomodating in establishing partnerships with other IT solutions providers such as ourselves.
They came down to meet us and discuss how we could help each other with opportunities moving forward, and after I had also been evaluating Elastic Hosts and Go-Grid etc, SymetriQ had by far the most mature and flexible interface for provisioning a whole datacenter at the click of a button.
Feature requests we made were addresses promptly, such as increasing available sizes of disks etc, and to ensure as a customer ourselves we were happy, they extended our initial trial period so we could fully test out the environment to our satisfaction.
Using SymetriQ at my previous company we replicated (using Double-Take) all our live servers into several running windows virtual servers in the SymetriQ cloud, and tested full site failover successfully in minutes.
We have a rebranded reseller portal which they created for us quickly and we actively promote SymetriQ for all customers requiring offsite replication, DR or centralised IT operations where it meets their needs.
The top two currently on this list (cari.net and cloud.bg) just don’t compare to SymtriQ for features!
Yes they are ok for web sites, but for any client wishing to create an actual datacenter in the cloud (especially windows based), they simply don’t have many existing images to choose from compared to SymetriQ (such as Windows 2003/8 with or without SQL, all 32 and 64 bit, Linux images such as CentOS, Ubuntu, Fedora) etc the list goes on including firewall appliances.
Price wise SymetriQ admittedly aren’t the cheapest, but you get what you pay for!
Other sites may offer much cheaper pricing, but it then makes you wonder about the support, or they may host your servers on hardware that’s not as top of the range, but for the right deal SymetriQ will try to work with you, but for the security and UK stored data and SLA guarantees you have, sometimes the price is worth paying for quality.
All this without having mentioned the secure datacenter credentials of SymetriQ, having a N3 standard datacenter, ISO27001-2005 system etc etc, but they also guarantee the location of your data, the UK and NOT being passed around the world to USA and beyond, all staff are SC cleared (as are all staff in our company;-).
So if you are looking for the cloud to be a true datacenter, that you can quickly establish a site to site VPN to and start replicating your servers to for disaster recovery for example, or for offsite backup, or even for hosting live infrastructure centralised servers, or if you want to ensure your confidential data isn’t being replicated off to who knows where, SymetriQ beats them all in an easy to use interface and I certainly recommend them, (especially as they will soon be offering a VMware based back end and interface along with Citrix etc in addition to their existing Sun powered environment).

Very impressed with SymetriQ. Very easy to deploy, nice API, IOPS on storage are way better than any others we have looked at. The support team are very helpful and knowledgeable. Highly reccomended.

I have been hosting with SymetriQ (now MevGen) for years, the service has changed quite a lot from the beginning but definitely for the better. The support I get now is far better than before and since the latest upgrade of their Cloud over 6 months ago I have had Zero downtime.
They are not the cheapest but I think the “you get what you pay for” mantra could not be more true in the case of web hosting.
